Dem-3DTV

The Dem-3DTV was created as an innovation, experimentation and co-creation environment, where researchers, companies, standardization bodies and public institutions work together, searching for new solutions, products or services, involving real users in all the research process, promoting cooperation.

Education

The Ministry of Industry, in collaboration with the public company Red.es and UPM, have established a Digital Content Production and Experimentation center within the Dem-3DTV, whose goal is the creation of educational programs for students and professionals.

TODO DEMONSTRATIONS EDUCATION FACILITIES CONTENT GENERATION VIDEO SUBJETIVE QUALITY TESTING

The Dem-3DTV is using its equipment to train UPM students. Grade students do practical work on the generation and manipulation of 3D digital contents within the courses: “3DTV” and “Digital Television Laboratory” of the Telecommunication Engineering studies, and courses of the and subjects of the itinerary of Specific Technology of Sound and Image in the title of graduate in Telecommunication Technologies and Services Engineering.

Furthermore, both undergrad and master students use the equipment for conducting research work that leads to the completion of, respectively, Bachelor and Master's Thesis. Finally, Ph.D. students are also making use of the equipment for research work that leads to the completion of their Doctoral Thesis’s.
